Houses and Buildings
in the Red River Valley
When I visited Quanah Parker's former ranch home, it sat in an abandoned amusement park in Cache, Oklahoma. This historic home is being restored.
Why didn't I just call this section simply architecture? Because architecture is a deliberate act. I like to document organic places... not flora and fauna (although I love me a good tree), but places that were built out of necessity, or due to community needs, or because the desire to substantiate one's existence was just too imperitive to ignore.

Following is a hodge-podge collection of mostly low-brow homes and buildings and motels and a bit of this and that. What they all have in common is that they make the Red River Valley a unique place, or at least a contender for being a little different.
